Going the Distance Virtual 5K

We held the first Ohio FFA Going the Distance Virtual 5K to assist agricultural education students and teachers during the 2020-21 school year.

We know teachers and students are facing extreme challenges during COVID-19. That’s why funds raised through the 2020 Going the Distance Virtual 5K were given to chapters to purchase technology, subscriptions, materials, curriculum or other supplies needed for distance learning.

The Ohio FFA Foundation awarded more than $5,000 to agricultural education programs and fulfilled all of the requested grants. Congratulations to the chapters that received funds from this event in 2020:

  • Anthony Wayne-Penta FFA
  • Danville FFA
  • Fort Frye FFA
  • Genoa-Penta FFA
  • Madison Plains FFA
  • Marion Local FFA
  • Northwestern Clark FFA
  • Riverdale FFA
  • Southeastern FFA
