Increasing Accessibility for FFA Members
The Cardinal Ability Endowment supports Ohio FFA members with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the agricultural educators who serve them. Annual earnings from this endowment provide grants that ensure every student has the opportunity to fully participate in and benefit from agricultural education.
Agriculture educators and FFA advisors can apply for $250 to $500 to purchase resources, equipment, materials, or provide learning opportunities that enhance accessibility, increase participation, and support the success of Ohio FFA members with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in agricultural education and FFA. Up to six grants will be available.
Example Uses of Funds:
- Reimbursement of an educational aide to support student participation during an FFA trip.
- Rental of accessible transportation for an FFA trip.
- Purchase of adaptive tools, modified equipment, assistive technology, or other accessibility resources that remove barriers and provide students with opportunities to participate in agricultural education coursework, SAE experiences, and FFA activities.
The application to apply for an Accessibility Grant closes October 1, 2026.

Funding FFA Chapters to Build Stronger Communities
The Chapter Success Grants program is a competitive funding opportunity that supports Ohio FFA chapters in empowering students to apply the leadership and educational skills learned in school and FFA to develop projects that meet a need within their community.
Grant applications are considered for projects that:
- Have a long-term impact on the community either economically or through an improved quality of life.
- Are in collaboration with a substantial agency, government entity, or long-standing organization (e.g., OSU Extension, school districts, city councils, Farm Bureau, Grange, United Way).
- Benefit rural residents or farmers.
- Go beyond legally required activities or functions that are an expectation of an organization, agency, or government body such as county fair maintenance, highways, school landscaping, shop equipment, or handicap access improvements on public property.
The Chapter Success Grants Application Opens on January 1 and Closes May 15.
