In 2025, the Ohio FFA Association will offer two distinctly different leadership conferences for its members. Both conferences will be held concurrently.
Connect Conference – This conference is designed for 7th through 10th-grade students.
Students will be introduced to the theme of the conference and evaluate their role in helping others feel connected. Students will analyze shy an effort to connect with others must be made and who that effort will be applied towards. Students will discover tools and processes to cultivate healthy connections. Students will categorize the connections in their life and practice navigating unhealthy connections. Students will examine the relationship between trust and influence. Students will review the content from previous sessions and leave motivated to create change.
I Am Conference – This conference is designed for 11th and 12th-grade students.
Students will be introduced to the theme of the conference and summarize their self-concept. Students will use identity-based goal setting principles to determine who they want to become. Students will use the habit loop to provide them actionable steps to accomplishing their identity-based goals. Students will use their identity goals to prioritize their time. Students will evaluate how balanced their lives are using the wheel of life.
January 18-19, 2025 – Embassy Suites, Columbus-Dublin – the cost for the two-day conference is $70 per student, $45 per advisor (covers registration fee and meals only). You will be charged the full amount per individual for no shows or cancellations after December 15, 2024. Registration
Registration for the conferences will open on November 4th and will remain open until December 1st or until the conferences are full. Make PO’s and checks payable to Ohio FFA Association. Conference registration is limited to 190 students for the Connect Conference and 190 students for the I Am Conference. To reserve hotel rooms, click here to book online or call 1-800-220-9219, and request the FFA group rate (97i) prior to December 22, 2024. Act quickly as there are a limited number of double/double rooms and make sure you secure the FFA rate of $126.00 (excluding tax). All double rooms are double suites, including two double beds and one pull-out sleeper sofa. Schools are tax-exempt from certain taxes and should be able to secure a lower percentage of tax being assessed. As a reminder, all Connect-I Am participants must bring a completed Personal Conduct Agreement.
Ohio’s Connect-I Am Conferences are conducted by the Ohio FFA Association through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The Ohio FFA Association is a resource and support organization that does not select, control or supervise local chapter or individual member activities except as expressly provided for in the state FFA constitution, bylaws or policies.
