Professional Development

The Agricultural Education Service provides teachers of agriculture with numerous opportunities to hone their skills in an effort to stay current with the latest changes in the industry. The following technical updates are provided to teachers at a nominal cost through collaborative efforts between the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio Association for Agricultural Educators, The Ohio State University, Wilmington College and Central State University.

New Teacher Success Series

When: December 13, 2021
Where: Ohio FFA Center, Columbus, OH
The New Teacher Success Series workshops are designed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year teachers in all Agricultural Education programs, pathways and licensure venues who value professional development opportunities. Attendees will collaborate with teachers statewide to become more efficient and prepared for the early years of the teaching profession. This is the first of a two-meeting series this school year to support teachers through current issues and upcoming activities in the Agricultural Education calendar.

Agricultural Education Summer Conference

When: June 7-9, 2022
Where: Nationwide & Farm Bureau 4-H Center, Columbus, OH
The Agricultural Education Summer Conference is a professional conference designed for teachers of agriculture to network and get the latest on classroom resources. The content delivered ata this conference is standards based, industry and post-secondary connect and student centered. Teachers are issued contact hours for their participation and are encouraged to attend the Ohio Association of Agricultural Educators banquet and activities. Consider attending this exciting professional development  – it will not disappoint!
