The Agricultural Education Service provides teachers of agriculture with numerous opportunities to hone their skills in an effort to stay current with the latest changes in the industry. The following technical updates are provided to teachers at a nominal cost through collaborative efforts between the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, the Ohio Association for Agricultural Educators, The Ohio State University, Wilmington College and Central State University.
New Teacher Success Series
Session 1: Monday, September 28, 2026 at Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum from 9 am-3 pm (Session 1 is held during Greenhand FFA Camp Session II. New teachers attending camp will be able to participate in the program while their students are engaged in other camp activities.)
Session 2: Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Wilmington College from 9 am-3 pm
Teachers in their first, second, and third years are encouraged to participate in the New Teacher Success Series! The first round of the program will focus on Classroom Instruction. To be more accessible to all teachers, this session will be offered on two separate dates and in two different locations. There is no cost to attend the New Teacher Success Series thanks to the generous sponsorship of Ohio Corn & Wheat, but registration is required. Please click here to register by September 21st for Session 1 and October 1st for Session 2. Questions? Contact Jeffrey Stimmell at jeffrey.stimmell@education.ohio.gov.
