Professional Development

The Agricultural Education Service provides teachers of agriculture with numerous opportunities to hone their skills in an effort to stay current with the latest changes in the industry. The following technical updates are provided to teachers at a nominal cost through collaborative efforts between the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, the Ohio Association for Agricultural Educators, The Ohio State University, Wilmington College and Central State University.

New Teacher Success Series

When: April 6, 2026 
Where: Ohio FFA Center, Columbus
Teachers in their first, second and third years are encouraged to participate in the New Teacher Success Series. The focus of this event will be on FFA programming and SAE supervision and wwill include actionable tips for teachers to implement in their classrooms

Ohio Agricultural Education Summer Conference

When: June 9-10, 2026 
Where: The Ohio State University, Wooster Campus
The Agricultural Education Summer Conference is an exciting 2-day conference for agriculture teachers in Ohio. The conference will include tour experiences immersed within the two day conference.
